WORLD BECOMES CLEARER
In the eyes of 3 year old Laurel, the world must have been a different place before she received her magic princess spectacles. Today she brought home her new glasses and with them a clearer picture of the world around her. Laurel needs glasses because recently her parents noticed that her eyes were turning inward in certain situations. She was diagnosed with a condition called strabismus, more specifically accommodative esotropia. She is 4 times more far-sighted than the average kid. As a result, her glasses prescription makes her eyes look slightly larger. Lucky for Laurel, she has some beautiful blue eyes, so bigger is better!
Laurel asked a few times to take off her glasses, but after a few hours (or less) of getting used to them, they have become part of her. This little girl has adapted well to all of the changes in her life this summer, and her parents are super-duper proud of her.
